The questions operators ask most.
How long does a KipleCity LPR deployment take?
Between 15 and 30 working days, depending on site layout, the number of entry and exit points, and network readiness. A firm window is confirmed after the site assessment.
What infrastructure is required on-site to install the LPR system?
A stable power supply, a reliable internet connection, a barrier gate compatible with our integration layer, and physical access for the installation team. Most standard gates are supported; compatibility is confirmed during the site assessment.
How accurate is the licence plate recognition?
KipleCity LPR delivers over 98% accuracy under standard lighting and weather conditions. Visibility issues such as glare, mud, and severe rain can impact accuracy, and the system is calibrated per site during the first week of operation.
What happens if the internet connection is lost?
The system continues to operate offline for access control. Data is cached locally and syncs to the cloud once the connection is restored. No transactions are lost.
Can the system recognise partially damaged or obscured plates?
Yes. The AI-based OCR can recognise partially damaged plates, with accuracy dependent on the visible portion. Heavily obscured plates are queued for manual review.
Can specific vehicles be whitelisted or blacklisted?
Yes. The cloud platform allows authorised administrators to manage whitelist and blacklist entries, apply time-based access windows, and group plates by tenant, unit, or department.
Is there a web dashboard for remote monitoring?
Yes. Authorised users can monitor live activity, review entry and exit logs, manage access rules, and check camera health from Kiple Cloud in any modern browser.
Can custom reports be generated from the platform?
Yes. Customisable parking and entry reports can be generated by time range, plate number, lane, or tariff, with export to CSV or via the API for downstream dashboards.
Which cashless payment methods are supported?
Cards (contactless and chip and PIN), Touch ’n Go, e-wallets, and QR payments. Settlement runs through Kiple, our BNM-approved Merchant Acquirer, directly to your merchant account.
What warranty and support are included?
Every deployment includes a one-year standard warranty. Optional extended support and maintenance packages are available for longer-term coverage, including SLA-tracked response times.
What is KipleCity?
KipleCity is a smart-community platform for residential developments, parking operators, and businesses. It combines hardware (LPR cameras, barrier gates, payment terminals) with cloud software and a resident application.
Who owns KipleCity?
KipleCity is owned and operated by Kiple Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Greenpacket Berhad. Kiple holds the BNM EMI and Merchant Acquirer licences; Packet+ holds the lending licences under KPKT.
What does the KipleCity application offer drivers?
The application offers three primary services: Scan Barcode, Ticketless Parking, and Valet Parking. Drivers can pay through the application or at traditional Autopay machines at supported sites.
